May and June 2020
July 13, 2020
Due to Covid-19, times have been unusual both here in The United States and in Honduras. During this time, God has been faithful in supplying my needs. I have had to make many adjustments and change many plans. During this time of adjustment, many of you have been supporting me with your prayers and gifts. There is no way I can adequately express my gratitude to you!
Right now, not much has changed in regards to what I am doing. I am still living in the States with my parents while I wait for Honduras to open up. My plans of returning to Honduras have not changed, only the time in which it will take place. Honduras is still closed, and currently has no plans of opening airports for people coming into the country. Once they open up to air travel, I plan to go home, back to Honduras, as soon as possible.
In the meantime, I have been serving my home church by cataloging their library so that the church can serve the congregation with a collection of Biblical resources. Even though I might not be in Honduras, the Lord has provided a way for me to serve His people. Being in the States has not hindered me from serving MEDA. Due to the nature of my job, I have to work about a year in advance to prepare for groups coming to MEDA. With the internet, I can do this part of the job from almost anywhere. The most critical time for me to be in Honduras is two weeks before groups start to arrive and about two weeks after they leave. The internships start in February and run until November, and the groups start in March and come intermittently through August. I am already communicating with some churches for 2021 dates. It was encouraging to find out that some of the groups that had to cancel trips due to Covid-19 are anxious to try to re-schedule for 2021.
Other than serving the church and MEDA, I have been taking classes at The Master’s University. I am seeking a bachelor’s degree in organizational management as this degree will help me serve MEDA and the Lord more efficiently and effectively. Even though the work is sometimes hard, I am excited to be preparing to better serve my Master.
Thank you again for your continued support. I will keep you up to date as things change. Please pray for those who are at MEDA carrying out the ministry there.
*Pray that I will soon be able to go to Honduras.
*Pray that I will be a godly example to my home church as I serve them.
*Pray for financial support.
