On October 24, 2018, Kenny Fuller wrote a post titled “The Journey Begins.” It began:

My name is Kenny Fuller,

I am 23 years old. Missions have been a part of my life ever since I can remember. Now, I will be moving to Honduras to collaborate with Evangelical Ministries of the Americas (MEDA), which operates a Bible seminary and training ministry in that place. As International Program Coordinator, I am going to be involved in the training of leaders and pastors in Honduras by developing and implementing revenue-generating programs that make the organization self-sustaining as it creates sustainable change.

This year, a new journey begins.

My name is Jasmin Fuller.

I am 25 years old. Missions have been on my heart ever since I can remember. Now, I have moved to Honduras to collaborate with Evangelical Ministries of the Americas (MEDA), which operates a Bible seminary (SEPE) and a subsidiary organization called MEDA International Missions (MIM) offering short-term mission and internship programs. As the wife of the International Program Coordinator, I am going to be involved in the training of leaders and pastors in Honduras by writing and designing content that tells the story of how the Lord is working through MIM and the global church.

OUR STORY

OUR STORY ♡

Kenny | I am a Florida-grown native of Tampa. Now I live in Honduras, where I serve as a missionary. I help run the international programs at MEDA, or Evangelical Ministries of the Americas. I am not serving as a typical missionary. I am working with a seminary to develop revenue-generating programs so that the seminary becomes self-sustaining. I have been doing this for 4 years now, and it is what I plan on doing until the Lord calls me to something else. To see young people impacting Central America and native pastors studying in the seminary and taking the gospel throughout Central America is one of my favorite things to be a part of.

Jas | I’m a Michigander who grew up in Venice, Florida, where I learned to love the sunsets and ocean as much as the evergreens and snow. Being raised in a Christian family, I was familiar with reading missionary stories as a kid, and the possibility of being involved in missions never left my mind. The summer after my junior year at The Master’s University, I went on a mission trip to Honduras, where I was introduced to MEDA International Missions and a short, contagious laugher named Kenny Fuller…

Kenny | The way that the Lord brought us together was an awesome story. Because I’m responsible for managing and leading teams, I try not to get close to people on the teams. Jasmin was one of the participants on a team from TMU. At first, there wasn't any interest from my side, even after she left. However, we stayed in touch because before she left to go back to the States, she asked if she could continue to write the e-newsletters for the ministry. It was a huge blessing that she offered to do this because we needed the help. It was through working together that I began to catch feelings.

Jas | As Kenny and I continued to communicate, our conversations became both more friendly and intentional, and we started popping questions back and forth to get to know each other. Kenny became a good friend, and I was impressed by his heart for missions and…I can’t lie…his blue eyes. By the time Kenny visited the States in late November of 2021, it was increasingly clear that we wanted to be more than just friends. He finally asked me as we were driving to meet my brothers at a go-karting track: “So, is there mutual interest?” I visited Honduras three times after we started dating in December, where I fell more and more in love with Kenny and the place he called home. And then, in August, he took me to our favorite lookout and dropped down on one knee…

Kenny | We married in January 2023. Our plan is to continue to serve in Honduras together and help run the MEDA International Missions programs at the TMAI-affiliated seminary at MEDA Honduras. I will continue as the International Program Coordinator for the STM teams and our internship programs. Jasmin will be a great help in writing and editing for MEDA and MIM and have the opportunity to mentor the young girls who come through the internship program. I am so excited that the Lord brought an amazing partner into my life as we serve the Lord.

Jas | During my visits to Honduras, I saw how MEDA came to life with conferences, seminary modules, mission teams, and internships. I can’t believe that the Lord has given me the opportunity to serve alongside Kenny in such an incredible, God-honoring ministry and community. I’m looking forward to using my love of writing to communicate what Christ is doing in Honduras through the ministry of the local church, MEDA, and MEDA International Missions.
