Happy Thanksgiving!
Heading into the Thanksgiving holiday, there is truly so much to be thankful for.
A Fruitful Year
2022 was our first entire year of ministry after the Covid pandemic, and it came in full swing. MEDA was abundantly blessed by the servants’ hearts of 12 short term mission teams and 4 interns. These teams were eager to meet our every need unto the Lord, whether it be renovations giving MEDA’s grounds a facelift or partnership with local pastors through evangelism, Vacation Bible Schools, and medical brigades.
A special highlight of these teams’ efforts was seeing Clinica Betania, a medical ministry of my local church, finally able to finish and furnish its top floor, allowing for optometry and dentistry expansions.
It was also a special privilege to host an STM and intern from my home church in Tampa, as well as benefit from the teaching of Bennie "BJ" Bourn on biblical conflict resolution at my local church in Siguatepeque – and the fellowship of his STM leader, Dr. Robb Kensinger, who is a past on-campus and present online professor at SEPE. These and so many more examples testify to the rich opportunities for fellowship that arise from the ministry of MEDA, MIM, and the global church.
Moreover, it was such a joy to see incoming interns – and truly the next generation’s leaders – apply and refine their God-given skills in His service, be that through social media and photography, STM team management, MEDA business administrative assistance, or pharmacy programming and creative writing.
A Promising Season
Even as this year comes to a close, we have been brainstorming and preparing for next year, knowing that until the Lord comes, there is work to be done. And He has been so faithful, already giving us hope for a very promising year to come. I am feeling so thankful for the opportunity to serve here at MEDA through MIM, as well as so thankful for all of you – your ongoing support and your faithful prayers.
As you count your thankfuls, savor the moment and renew in your mind these precious truths:
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Prayer Requests
Praise for the Lord’s blessing on the sound and livestream ministry at Iglesia Betania, my local church in Honduras. It has been a joy to be part of this practical ministry, and I am now working to expand our online platform and looking for others in the church to train on the new system.
Prayers for wisdom navigating and juggling many end-year decisions and plans, as well as a sweet time of fellowship with family and friends during my time in the States. Moreover, prayers for discernment, endurance, and contentment in anticipation of and during a busy season and upcoming year.
Prayers for the Lord’s continued provision - please also prayerfully consider supporting me on a regular basis.
